Gas cylinders of composite construction Specification and test methods — Part 1:Hoop wrapped composite gas cylinders

This part of ISO 11119 specifies requirements for composite gas cylinders up to and including 450 litres water capacity, for the storage and conveyance of compressed or liquefied gases with test pressures up to and including 650 bar 1). The cylinders are constructed in the form of a seamless metallic liner over-wrapped with carbon fibre or aramid fibre or glass fibre (or a mixture thereof) in a resin matrix, or steel wire, to provide circumferential reinforcement. This part of ISO 11119 addresses cylinders with a design life from 10 a to non-limited life. For cylinders with a design life in excess of 15 a, and in order for these cylinders to remain in service beyond 15 a, requalification of these cylinders is recommended. This part of ISO 11119 does not address the design, fitting and performance of removable protective sleeves. Where these are fitted, they should be considered separately. NOTE 1 ISO 11439 applies to cylinders intended for use as fuel containers on natural gas vehicles. NOTE 2 ISO 11623 covers periodic inspection and retesting of composite cylinders

This part of ISO 11119 specifies requirements for composite gas cylinders up to and including 450 l water capacity, for the storage and conveyance of compressed or liquefied gases with test pressures ranging up to and including 650 bar 1). This part of ISO 11119 applies to: a) Fully wrapped composite cylinders with a non-load-sharing metallic or non-metallic liner (i.e. a liner that does not share the load of the overall cylinder design) and a design life from 10 years to non-limited life. For cylinders with a design life in excess of 15 years, re-qualification is recommended in order for these cylinders to remain in service beyond 15 years. The cylinders are constructed in the form of a liner over-wrapped with carbon fibre or aramid fibre or glass fibre (or a mixture thereof) in a resin matrix to provide longitudinal and circumferential reinforcement. b) Composite cylinders without liners (including cylinders without liners manufactured from two parts joined together) and with a test pressure of less than 60 bar. For cylinders with a design life in excess of 15 years, requalification is recommended in order for these cylinders to remain in service beyond 15 years. The cylinders are constructed: 1) in the form of a disposable mandrel overwrapped with carbon fibre or aramid fibre or glass fibre (or a mixture thereof) in a resin matrix to provide longitudinal and circumferential reinforcement; 2) in the form of two filament wound shells joined together. ISO 11439 applies to cylinders intended for use as fuel containers on natural gas vehicles. ISO 11623 covers periodic inspection and re-testing of composite cylinders. This part of ISO 11119 does not address the design, fitting and performance of removable protective sleeves. Where these are fitted they should be considered separately.

Transportable gas cylinders — Periodic inspection and testing of composite gas cylinders

This standard specifies the requirements for periodic inspection and testing of hoop wrapped and fully wrapped composite transportable gas cylinders, with aluminium, steel or non-metallic liners or of linerless construction, intended for compressed, liquefied or dissolved gases under pressure, of water capacity from 0,5 l up to 450 l. NOTE As far as practicable, this standard may also be applied to cylinders of less than 0,5 l water capacity. This standard specifies the requirements for periodic inspection and testing to verify the integrity of such gas cylinders for further service.


Gas cylinders — Stamp marking

This International Standard specifies stamp marking of refillable transportable gas cylinders and tubes of volume greater than 0,5 l and less than or equal to 3 000 l, including: ⎯ steel and aluminium gas cylinders; ⎯ composite gas cylinders; ⎯ acetylene cylinders; ⎯ LPG cylinders (see Annex B). These are hereafter referred to as “cylinders”.

This European Standard specifies a method for the enumeration of culturable micro-organisms in water by counting the colonies formed in a nutrient agar culture medium after aerobic incubation at 36 °C and 22 °C. The method is intended to measure the operational efficiency of the treatment process of public drinking water supplies and for general application to all types of water. Environmental management -- Life cycle assessment -- Data documentation format

This Technical Specification provides the requirements and a structure for a data documentation format, to be used for transparent and unambiguous documentation and exchange of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data, thus permitting consistent documentation of data, reporting of data collection, data calculation and data quality, by specifying and structuring relevant information. This part of ISO 14064 specifies principles and requirements and provides guidance at the project level for quantification, monitoring and reporting of activities intended to cause greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions or removal enhancements. Microbiology of food and animal feeding stuffs — Horizontal method for the enumeration of yeasts and moulds — Part 2: Colony count technique in products with water activity less than or equal to 0,95

This part of ISO 21527 specifies a horizontal method for the enumeration of viable osmophilic yeasts and xerophilic moulds in products intended for human consumption or feeding of animals that have a water activity less than or equal to 0,95 (dry fruits, cakes, jams, dried meat, salted fish, grains, cereals and cereal products, flours, nuts, spices and condiments, etc. [Annex A]), by means of the colony count technique at 25 °C ± 1 °C (Reference [3]). This part of ISO 21527 does not apply to dehydrated products with water activity less than or equal to 0,60 (dehydrated cereals, oleaginous products, spices, leguminous plants, seeds, powders for instant drinks, dry products for domestic animals, etc.) and does not allow the enumeration of mould spores (Reference [3]). Neither the identification of fungal flora nor the examination of foods for mycotoxins lie within the scope of this part of ISO 21527. The method specified in this part of ISO 21527 is not suitable for enumeration of halophilic xerophilic fungi (i.e. Polypaecilum pisce, Basipetospora halophila) such as may be found in dried fish.


Microbiology of food and animal feeding stuffs — Horizontal method for the enumeration of _-glucuronidase-positive Escherichia coli — Part 2: Colony-count technique at 44 °C using 5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl _-D-glucuronide

This part of ISO 16649 specifies a horizontal method for the enumeration of -glucuronidase-positive Escherichia coli in products intended for human consumption or for the feeding of animals. It uses a colony-count technique at 44 °C on a solid medium containing a chromogenic ingredient for detection of the enzyme -glucuronidase. WARNING — Strains of Escherichia coli which do not grow at 44 °C and, in particular, those that are -glucuronidase negative, such as Escherichia coli O157, will not be detected.


Foodstuffs — Determination of ochratoxin A in cereals and cereal products — Part 1: High performance liquid chromatographic method with silica gel clean up

This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of ochratoxin A at levels greater than 0,4 µg/kg. The method has been successfully validated in 2 interlaboratory studies according to ISO 5725:1996 [1] on wheat whole meal containing 0,4 µg/kg and 1,2 µg/kg of ochratoxin A. NOTE: Numerous laboratory experiences have shown that this method is also applicable to cereals, dried fruits, oilseeds, pulses, wine, beer, fruit juices and raw coffee, see [2], [3], [4].


Foodstuffs — Determination of ochratoxin A in cereals and cereal products — Part 2: High performance liquid chromatographic method with bicarbonate clean up

This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of ochratoxin A (OTA) at levels greater than 3 µg/kg. The method has been successfully validated in interlaboratory studies according to ISO 5725:1986 [1] on whole barley containing 2,9 µg/kg, 3,0 µg/kg, 7,4 µg/kg and 14,4 µg/kg of ochratoxin A, on whole maize containing 8,2 µg/kg and 16,3 µg/kg of ochratoxin A as well as on wheat bran containing 3,8 µg/kg and 4,5 µg/kg of ochratoxin A. NOTE: Numerous laboratory experiences have shown that this method is also applicable to wheat flour.

The requirements taken into consideration in this standard are: • Glass beads : granulometry, refractive index of the glass, chemical resistance, quality, surface treatments ; • Antiskid aggregates : granulometry, chemical characteristics, friability, colour ; • Mixtures of glass beads and antiskid aggregates; and the requirements for both components.

This European Standard specifies the initial performance requirements and laboratory test methods for retroreflecting road studs intended for use as permanent and temporary road marking materials.


Traffic control equipment - Warning and safety light devices

This European Standard specifies the requirements for individual electrically operated light devices, called warning lights, emitting a continuous or regular intermittent light of a single colour which, by their colour and position alone, are used to warn, inform or guide road users. It specifies the requirements for visual, structural and operational performances and the relevant test methods to be used. These devices rely upon existing furniture to provide the mounting. This European Standard is not applicable to lighting devices which convey messages by additional means (e.g. variable message signs) or which convey a mandatory instruction (e.g. traffic signals) or which are covered by vehicle lighting regulations. This European Standard does not consider horizontal loads because it is the mounting to which they are fixed, which is not covered by this European Standard, which has to resist applied horizontal loads.


Traffic control equipment - Signal heads

This European Standard only applies to red, yellow and green signal lights for road traffic with 200 mm and 300 mm roundels. It defines the requirements for the visual, structural, environmental performances and testing of signal heads for pedestrian and road traffic use. Portable signal lights are specifically excluded from the scope of this European Standard.


Anti-glare systems for roads - Part 1: Performance and characteristics

This Part of EN 12676 specifies the characteristics of an anti-glare system in terms of its optical effectiveness and of the mechanical performance of its elements. It gives a method for the determination of the optical performance of anti-glare systems by calculation. Requirements and recommendations for the design of anti-glare systems to minimize maintenance are also given. This Part of EN 12676 does not apply to : - types of anti-glare systems other than those attached to safety barriers; - regulatory characteristics which might be required to ensure that anti-glare systems are compatible with road signs; - specific requirements resulting from extreme environmental conditions experienced in some European countries.


Road vertical signs - Variable message traffic signs - Part 1: Product standard

This document specifies requirements and test methods for new Variable Message Signs (VMS). VMS comprise two types, continuous and discontinuous signs: - continuous signs are those that are similar to fixed signs, the only difference being that by some electro-mechanical means they can show various messages. NOTE 1 For example rotating prism signs, roller blinds. - discontinuous signs create messages using individual elements that can be in one of two states (or more) and can thereby create various messages on the same sign face. NOTE 2 For example fibre optic signs, LED signs. This document covers the performance requirements for Variable Message Signs used for the instruction and guidance of road users on public and private land, including tunnels. In this document a number of different performance requirements (visual performance, EMC, environmental performance, etc) are covered, as well as durability. The EMC, safety and environmental requirements for both types of VMS are included in this document together with the visual performance for the discontinuous types VMS. The visual performance for continuous signs and discontinuous signs which are externally illuminated is covered by EN 12899-1. This document defines performance limits and a range of performance classes for both sign assemblies without vertical support and assemblies complete with vertical support. Not covered by this document are: a) sign gantries, cantilevers and foundations; b) portable and temporary VMS; c) signal heads; d) sizes and shapes of VMS messages; e) control units and monitoring units unless inside the test module.


Road traffic noise reducing devices - Specifications

This document specifies the performance requirements and methods of evaluation for road traffic noise reducing devices. This document covers acoustic, non-acoustic and long term performance, but not aspects such as resistance to vandalism or requirements of visual appearance. This document covers products used for road traffic noise reduction made from any materials. This document does not cover road surfaces or the airborne sound insulation of houses. This document does not cover material specific characteristics necessary to meet the performance requirements of the standard. If existing, material specific standards should also apply in accordance with the specifications prescribed hereafter.


Measurement methods for building -- Setting-out and measurement -- Part 1: Planning and organization, measuring procedures, acceptance criteria

This part of ISO 4463 deals with the progressive stages of setting-out work in building construction, i.e. acquisition of in- formation, establishing the primary System, setting-out the secondary System, vertical transfer of Points in the secondary System to other levels, and setting-out the Position Points and the establishment and transfer of levels (bench marks). In addition it gives values of permitted deviations and guidance on independent check measurements (quality control) using in- struments and methods currently in common use at each Stage of the setting-out process.


Measurement methods for building -- Setting-out and measurement -- Part 2: Measuring stations and targets

This part of IS0 4463 deals with the progressive stages of establishing and marking measuring stations and targets on building sites. The aspects covered are planning, functional needs and maintenance. This part of IS0 4463 applies to measuring ‘ stations and targets in all types of building construction. Examples of different stations and targets and lo- cation plans are given in annex A.


Measurement methods for building -- Setting-out and measurement -- Part 3: Check-lists for the procurement of surveys and measurement services

This part of IS0 4463 identifies and provides guidance in the form of check-lists for the surveying and set- ting-out services that may be required during the de- velopment and construction of buildings and ancillary works. It will assist those involved in specifying the surveying and setting-out services required during the procure- ment of buildings by providing a check-list of the re- quirements from which selections can be made and to which further items can be added depending on the particular needs of the project. The guidance is applicable to both new construction and refurbishment projects.

This International Standard defines terms, in English and French, that are commonly used in procedures for setting out, measurement and surveying in building construction. lt also gives equivalent German terms in the annex.
