Ceramic tiles - Definitions, classification, characteristics and marking

This European Standard defines and gives terms, specifies requirements and marking criteria for ceramic tiles (produced by extrusion and dry-pressing techniques) of the best commercial quality (first quality). Tiles not of first commercial quality are also covered following the provisions of Annex Q. This European Standard does not cover tiles made by other than the normal processes of extrusion or drypressing nor decorative accessories or trim (such as edges, corners, skirting, capping, coves, beads, steps, curved tiles and other accessory pieces) or mosaics (i.e. any piece that can fit into a 7 cm × 7 cm area, see custom nomenclature). NOTE EN ISO 10545 describes the test procedures required to determine the product characteristics listed in this European Standard. EN ISO 10545 is divided into parts, each describing a specific test procedure or related matter.


Cold-reduced electrolytic tinplate

This International Standard specifies requirements for single and double cold-reduced low-carbon mild steel electrolytic tinplate in the form of sheets or coils for subsequent cutting into sheets. Single-reduced tinplate is specified in nominal thick- nesses that are multiples of 0,005 mm, from 0,17 mm up to and including 0,49 mm. Double-reduced tinplate is specified in nominal thicknesses that are multiples of 0,005 mm, from 0,14 mm up to and including 0,29 mm. This International Standard applies to coils and sheets cut from coils in nominal minimum widths of 500 mm. Annex E lists the relevant clauses for the selected product.

تطبق هذه المواصفة على طرود الاصناف التجارية للهليون Asparagus officinalis (L.) من فصيلة liliacea التي تقدم طازجة للمستهلك. ويستثنى منها الهليون المخصص للأغراض الصناعية. تصّنف طرود الهليون ضمن أربع مجموعات حسب اللون: - الهليون الأبيض - الهليون البنفسجي وله براعم يتراوح لونها بين الزهري والبنفسجي أو الارجواني مع جزء من الطرد أبيض اللون - اللون البنفسجي/الأخضر (جزء منه بنفسجي اللون وجزء آخر أخضر اللون) - الهليون الأخضر حيث تكون معظم الطرد والبراعم خضراء اللون. لا تنطبق هذه المواصفة على الهليون الأخضر والبنفسجي/الأخضر الذي يقلّ قطره عن ٣ ملم والهليون الأبيض والبنفسجي الذي يقلّ قطره عن ٨ ملم والمعبأ في حزم متماثلة أو عبوات حسب الوحدات.

The cylinders are constructed in the form of a seamless metallic liner over-wrapped with carbon fibre or aramid fibre or glass fibre (or a mixture thereof) in a resin matrix, or steel wire, to provide circumferential reinforcement. This part of ISO 11119 addresses cylinders with a design life from 10 a to non-limited life. For cylinders with a design life in excess of 15 a, and in order for these cylinders to remain in service beyond 15 a, requalification of these cylinders is recommended. This part of ISO 11119 does not address the design, fitting and performance of removable protective sleeves. Where these are fitted, they should be considered separately. NOTE 1 ISO 11439 applies to cylinders intended for use as fuel containers on natural gas vehicles. NOTE 2 ISO 11623 covers periodic inspection and retesting of composite cylinders

This part of ISO 11119 applies to: a) Fully wrapped composite cylinders with a non-load-sharing metallic or non-metallic liner (i.e. a liner that does not share the load of the overall cylinder design) and a design life from 10 years to non-limited life. For cylinders with a design life in excess of 15 years, re-qualification is recommended in order for these cylinders to remain in service beyond 15 years. The cylinders are constructed in the form of a liner over-wrapped with carbon fibre or aramid fibre or glass fibre (or a mixture thereof) in a resin matrix to provide longitudinal and circumferential reinforcement. b) Composite cylinders without liners (including cylinders without liners manufactured from two parts joined together) and with a test pressure of less than 60 bar. For cylinders with a design life in excess of 15 years, requalification is recommended in order for these cylinders to remain in service beyond 15 years. The cylinders are constructed: 1) in the form of a disposable mandrel overwrapped with carbon fibre or aramid fibre or glass fibre (or a mixture thereof) in a resin matrix to provide longitudinal and circumferential reinforcement; 2) in the form of two filament wound shells joined together. ISO 11439 applies to cylinders intended for use as fuel containers on natural gas vehicles. ISO 11623 covers periodic inspection and re-testing of composite cylinders. This part of ISO 11119 does not address the design, fitting and performance of removable protective sleeves. Where these are fitted they should be considered separately.

Transportable gas cylinders — Periodic inspection and testing of composite gas cylinders

This standard specifies the requirements for periodic inspection and testing of hoop wrapped and fully wrapped composite transportable gas cylinders, with aluminium, steel or non-metallic liners or of linerless construction, intended for compressed, liquefied or dissolved gases under pressure, of water capacity from 0,5 l up to 450 l. NOTE As far as practicable, this standard may also be applied to cylinders of less than 0,5 l water capacity. This standard specifies the requirements for periodic inspection and testing to verify the integrity of such gas cylinders for further service.


Gas cylinders — Stamp marking

This International Standard specifies stamp marking of refillable transportable gas cylinders and tubes of volume greater than 0,5 l and less than or equal to 3 000 l, including: ⎯ steel and aluminium gas cylinders; ⎯ composite gas cylinders; ⎯ acetylene cylinders; ⎯ LPG cylinders (see Annex B). These are hereafter referred to as “cylinders”.

Water quality - Enumeration of culturable micro-organisms - Colony count by inoculation in a nutrient agar culture medium

This European Standard specifies a method for the enumeration of culturable micro-organisms in water by counting the colonies formed in a nutrient agar culture medium after aerobic incubation at 36 °C and 22 °C. The method is intended to measure the operational efficiency of the treatment process of public drinking water supplies and for general application to all types of water. It is particularly applicable to the examination of water intended for human consumption, including water in closed containers and to natural mineral waters


Safety rules for the construction and installation of lifts- Part1: electric lifts

This standard specifies the safety rules for the construction and installation of permanently installed new electric lifts , with traction or positive drive , serving defined landing levels , having a car designed for transportation of persons or person and goods , suspended by ropes or chains and moving between guide rails inclined not more than 150 to the vertical. In addition to the requirments of this standard supplementary requirements shall be considered in special case ( potentially explosice atmosphere , extreme climate conditions , seismic condition , transporting dangerous goods,etc). This standard does not cover: a-lifts with drives other than those stated in 1.1 b-installation of electric lifts in exicting building to the extent that space does not permit c-important modification ( see annex E) to a lift installed befre this standard is brought into application d-lifting appliances, such as paternosters , mine lifts , theatrical lifts , appliances with automatic caging, skips, lifts and hoists for building and public works sites, ships hoists, platforms for exploration or drilling at sea , constructin and maintenance appliances; e-installations where the inclination of the guide rails to the vertical exceeds 150 f-safety during transport, installation, repairs, and dismantling of lifts. however, this standard may usefully be taken as a basis noise and vibration are not dealt with in this standar because these are not relevant to the safe use of the lift.


Safety rules for the construction and installation of lifts- Part 2: Hydraulic lifts

EN 81-2:1998+A3:2009 looks at the safety rules for the construction and installation of new lifts and hydraulically operated devices. These include goods lifts, passenger lifts and service lifts. The standard also covers hydraulic lifts serving defined landing levels, with a car designed to transport people and goods. This car will normally be suspended by jacks, ropes or chains and move between guide rails. EN 81-2 has been developed to help organizations put the right safety measures in place to protect people and goods from injury or damage.


Safety rules for the construction and installation of lifts- Part 3: Electric and Hydraulic service lifts

This standard specifies the safety rules for the construction and installation of permanently installed new electric service lifts with traction or positive drive, or hydraulic service lifts defined as lifting equipment serving defined landig levels, having a car, the interior of which is regarded as inaccessible to persons on accunt of its dimensions and means of construcation, suspended by ropes or chains or supported by a ram and movvind and between rigid vertical guide rails or guide rails whose invlination to the vertical does not exceed 150 and driven electrically or hydraulically . this standars covers service lifts with rated load not exceeding 300 kgs and nt intended to move persons. In addition to the requirements of this standard, supplementary requirements shall be considered in special case (potentially explosive atmosphere, extreme climate condition, seismic conditions, transporting dangerous, goods, etc). This standard does nt cover: a-service lifts with drives other than stated in section1.1; b-important modification ( see annex E ) to a service lift installed before this standard is brought into application; c- lifting appliances, such as paternosters, mine lifts, theatrical lifts, appliances with automatic caging, skips and hoists for building and public works sites, ship hoists, platforms for exploration or drilling at sea, construction and maintenance apppliances ; d-installations where the inclinaton the guide rails to the vertical exceed 15 0; e-safety during transport, installation, repairs and disamantling of service lifts; f-the use of glass for the walls of the well, for the car and for the landing doors including the vision panels. However, this standard may usefully be taken as a basis Noise and vibration are not dealt with in this standard because these are not relevant to the safe use of the service lift fire propagation is not dealt with in this standard. To satisfy the condition of inaccessibility to the car, the car dimension shall not exceed: a-for floor area 1.0m2 b-for depth 1.0; c-for height 1.20m the height of 1.20 m shall not be limited if the car comprises several permanent compartments , each of wich satisfies the above requirements. In particular, lifting equipement intended exclusively for the transportation of goods , but having a car with dimensions exceeding any one of the figures above shall not be entered in the category service lifts. This standard covers the safety requirements for service lifts with rated speed up to 1 m/s. NOTE: for service lifts with higher rated speeds additional requirements shall be applied as appropriate in order to maintain the same level of safety


Safety rules for the construction and installation of lifts- Existing lifts- Part 80: Rules for the improvement of safety of existing passenger and goods passenger lifts

This document gives a methodology for improving the safety of existing lifts with the aim of reaching an equivalent level of safety to that of a newly installed lift by the application of today’s state-of-the-art for safety. NOTE Due to situations such as the building design, etc. it may not be possible in all cases to reach today’s state-of-the-art for safety. This document applies to permanently installed passenger or goods passenger lifts, with traction, positive or hydraulic drive serving defined landing levels, having a car designed for the transportation of persons or persons and goods and moving along guide rails inclined not more than 15° to the vertical.

This part of ISO 4463 deals with the progressive stages of setting-out work in building construction, i.e. acquisition of in- formation, establishing the primary System, setting-out the secondary System, vertical transfer of Points in the secondary System to other levels, and setting-out the Position Points and the establishment and transfer of levels (bench marks). In addition it gives values of permitted deviations and guidance on independent check measurements (quality control) using in- struments and methods currently in common use at each Stage of the setting-out process.


Measurement methods for building -- Setting-out and measurement -- Part 2: Measuring stations and targets

This part of IS0 4463 deals with the progressive stages of establishing and marking measuring stations and targets on building sites. The aspects covered are planning, functional needs and maintenance. This part of IS0 4463 applies to measuring ‘ stations and targets in all types of building construction. Examples of different stations and targets and lo- cation plans are given in annex A.


Measurement methods for building -- Setting-out and measurement -- Part 3: Check-lists for the procurement of surveys and measurement services

This part of IS0 4463 identifies and provides guidance in the form of check-lists for the surveying and set- ting-out services that may be required during the de- velopment and construction of buildings and ancillary works. It will assist those involved in specifying the surveying and setting-out services required during the procure- ment of buildings by providing a check-list of the re- quirements from which selections can be made and to which further items can be added depending on the particular needs of the project. The guidance is applicable to both new construction and refurbishment projects.


Building construction -- Procedures for setting out, measurement and surveying -- Vocabulary and guidance notes

This International Standard defines terms, in English and French, that are commonly used in procedures for setting out, measurement and surveying in building construction. lt also gives equivalent German terms in the annex.


Tolerances for building -- Presentation of dimensional accuracy data

This International Standard lays down the principles on which the collection of dimensional accuracy data in building construction work shall be based and the format in which this data shall be presented for defined items of construction and manufactured components.


Tolerances for building -- Methods of measurement of buildings and building products -- Part 1: Methods and instruments

This International Standard gives some alternative measuring methods for the determination of shape, dimensions and dimensional deviations of buildings and building products which are relevant to fit. The methods tan also be applied when accuracy data are being collected in factories or on building sites. Information is given about deviations of Parts of buildings or of building products which tan be determined with the equipment described. The measuring methods concern primarily those objects the faces of which are rectilinear in shape and whicn have a modulus of elasticity larger than 35 kPa, for example concrete, wood, steel, hard plastic. Building products consisting of glass wool and similar soft materials are not the subject of this Inter- national Standard. Rules for quality control in all stages of measurement such as frequency Checks, place, time, etc., are not covered by this International Standard. Part two of this International Standard gives the Position of measuring Points to be used in the measurement described in this part. To facilitate Cross-referencing, the same numbering is used in the two Parts of this International Standard.


Tolerances for building -- Methods of measurement of buildings and building products -- Part 2: Position of measuring points

This part of ISO 7976 gives guidance on the Position of measur- ing Points to be used in the measurements of buildings and building products. The positions given apply for check and compliance measurement, and when collecting accuracy data. lt is divided into two sections. Section one deals with the posi- tion of measuring Points for those measurements which tan be carried out both in factories and on building sites, and section two with the Position of measuring Points for the measure- ments which tan be carried out on building sites only. Building products consisting of glass wool and similar soft materials are not the subject of this International Standard. To facilitate Cross-referencing, the same numbering is used in both Parts of this International Standard.


Greenhouse gases -- Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals

This part of ISO 14064 specifies principles and requirements at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greehouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals. It includes requirements for the design, development, management, reporting and verification of an organization's GHG inventory. ISO 14064 is GHG programme neutral. If a GHG programme is applicable, requirements of that GHG programme are additional to the requirements of ISO 14064. NOTE If a requirement of ISO 14064 prohibits an organization or a GHG project proponent from complying with a requirement of the GHG programme, the requirement of the GHG programme takes precedence.

Microbiology of food and animal feeding stuffs — Horizontal method for the enumeration of yeasts and moulds — Part 2: Colony count technique in products with water activity less than or equal to 0,95

This part of ISO 21527 specifies a horizontal method for the enumeration of viable osmophilic yeasts and xerophilic moulds in products intended for human consumption or feeding of animals that have a water activity less than or equal to 0,95 (dry fruits, cakes, jams, dried meat, salted fish, grains, cereals and cereal products, flours, nuts, spices and condiments, etc. [Annex A]), by means of the colony count technique at 25 °C ± 1 °C (Reference [3]). This part of ISO 21527 does not apply to dehydrated products with water activity less than or equal to 0,60 (dehydrated cereals, oleaginous products, spices, leguminous plants, seeds, powders for instant drinks, dry products for domestic animals, etc.) and does not allow the enumeration of mould spores (Reference [3]). Neither the identification of fungal flora nor the examination of foods for mycotoxins lie within the scope of this part of ISO 21527. The method specified in this part of ISO 21527 is not suitable for enumeration of halophilic xerophilic fungi (i.e. Polypaecilum pisce, Basipetospora halophila) such as may be found in dried fish.

This part of ISO 16649 specifies a horizontal method for the enumeration of -glucuronidase-positive Escherichia coli in products intended for human consumption or for the feeding of animals. It uses a colony-count technique at 44 °C on a solid medium containing a chromogenic ingredient for detection of the enzyme -glucuronidase. WARNING — Strains of Escherichia coli which do not grow at 44 °C and, in particular, those that are -glucuronidase negative, such as Escherichia coli O157, will not be detected.


Foodstuffs — Determination of ochratoxin A in cereals and cereal products — Part 1: High performance liquid chromatographic method with silica gel clean up

This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of ochratoxin A at levels greater than 0,4 µg/kg. The method has been successfully validated in 2 interlaboratory studies according to ISO 5725:1996 [1] on wheat whole meal containing 0,4 µg/kg and 1,2 µg/kg of ochratoxin A. NOTE: Numerous laboratory experiences have shown that this method is also applicable to cereals, dried fruits, oilseeds, pulses, wine, beer, fruit juices and raw coffee, see [2], [3], [4].


Foodstuffs — Determination of ochratoxin A in cereals and cereal products — Part 2: High performance liquid chromatographic method with bicarbonate clean up

This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of ochratoxin A (OTA) at levels greater than 3 µg/kg. The method has been successfully validated in interlaboratory studies according to ISO 5725:1986 [1] on whole barley containing 2,9 µg/kg, 3,0 µg/kg, 7,4 µg/kg and 14,4 µg/kg of ochratoxin A, on whole maize containing 8,2 µg/kg and 16,3 µg/kg of ochratoxin A as well as on wheat bran containing 3,8 µg/kg and 4,5 µg/kg of ochratoxin A. NOTE: Numerous laboratory experiences have shown that this method is also applicable to wheat flour.

This European standard specifies the requirements for laboratory tests (production control) and qualification procedures for the following drop on materials used in road markings. These materials are dropped on to paints, thermoplastics, cold plastics and any other marking product applied in a liquid state, immediately after application to the road surface. The requirements taken into consideration in this standard are: • Glass beads : granulometry, refractive index of the glass, chemical resistance, quality, surface treatments ; • Antiskid aggregates : granulometry, chemical characteristics, friability, colour ; • Mixtures of glass beads and antiskid aggregates; and the requirements for both components.
